How the Upholstery Process Works

There are several steps to the upholstery and reupholstery process. Our expert team has extensive experience with every single step and will work with you to ensure everything is exactly the way you want it to be.

  • Selecting Furniture - The first step is choosing the pieces you would like upholstered. At JCC Interiors, we offer a selection of furniture that we can custom upholster. We can also reupholster furniture you already have. Either way, we will take care of transporting the pieces to make it easier for you.
  • Choosing Upholstery Fabric - Once you know what pieces you want to reupholstery, it is time to choose a fabric. At JCC Interiors, we have the ability to source almost any fabric you can think of. Whether you want to match the current fabric as much as possible or you are looking for something totally new, we have what you want. Our interior designers can also help you select a fabric that will complement the rest of your interior if you are unsure what to choose.
  • Deconstruction - Once the furniture and fabric are selected, the work can begin. First, our experts will take your furniture apart. This allows them to assess the interior elements like cushions and stuffing. They will also remove all the existing upholstery and do any cleaning that needs to be done. We have experience with antique and heirloom furniture and give each piece the individual care and attention that it needs.
  • Repairs - If your chair needs a new cushion or the woven seat needs repairing, our expert team will handle it. They have extensive experience with all sorts of pieces, and we will work on almost any type of furniture. Our experts can revitalize every part of your furniture and give them back looking much better than they started.
  • Upholstery - Once the interior portions have been repaired, the new upholstery fabric is applied. Every piece is expertly folded and tacked down so that the new upholstery job is indistinguishable from the old one. The fabric creates a stunning finishing touch that will bring your new or not-so-new furniture to life.
  • Delivery - Once the reupholstery job is finished, we will deliver your furniture directly to your door. We can even help you place it in a specific room. Our interior design team can create an expert layout of where things should go to provide you with the best use of space.
